What’s New in Automate V12 Patch 1?

ConnectWise Automate continues to evolve, and Automate V12 updates in Patch 1 bring several improvements designed to enhance usability, security, and overall performance. Here’s a quick look at the major updates:

1. Alphabetical Sorting for Plugins

Managing plugins is now easier! When you right-click the Plugins icon in the Computer Management screen, the list of plugins will appear in alphabetical order, making navigation faster and more intuitive.

2. Enhanced Maintenance Mode

Maintenance Mode has been updated for better compatibility with Automate V12.

• A new Reason field allows users to specify why maintenance mode is being enabled.
• This field also integrates with additional settings in Patch Manager, improving clarity and control during maintenance operations.

3. Windows Version Display in Patch Manager

The Device Screen in Patch Manager now shows:

• Windows Version
• Servicing Options for applicable devices
  Plus, Patch Manager can now install Windows 10 feature updates, streamlining OS upgrades.

4. Corrected SSL Documentation Link

The documentation link for SSL requirements in the patch installer has been fixed. It now directs users to the correct page, ensuring you have accurate guidance for secure installations.

5. Software Tile Behaviour Improved

Previously, if an application was added to both the whitelist and blacklist, it caused confusion. This issue is resolved—such applications will now be treated as blacklisted, ensuring consistent security enforcement.
